PAINESVILLE, Ohio -Dorothy G. Abe, 81, of Painesville, died Friday, April 9, 1999, at the Lake Hospital System.

Born Nov. 21, 1917, in Patterson's Creek, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry N. and Bertha V. (Brelsford) Abe. She also was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Ms. Abe lived in Cumberland, Md., prior to moving to Painesville in 1953. She was a homemaker. She was a charter active member of the Painesville Church of the Brethren, worked many years in the nursery, and was very fond of children.

Survivors include a sister, Grace Moreland, Virginia; a brother, Robert Abe, Ridgeley, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Old Furnace Church of the Brethren, Ridgeley, on Tuesday, April 13, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Abe of The First Akron Church of the Brethren, Akron, Ohio, officiating.

Burial will be in the Abe Cemetery, Ridgeley.

Donations may be made to the Painesville Church of the Brethren, 10410 Buckeye Road, Painesville, OH 44077.
