Dalton Harris, 86, of Cullman, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born to Johnny D. and Katie Estes Harris. He was an operations manager with Gold Kist and a cattle farmer who served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Holly Pond, a charter member of the Holly Pond Lions Club, a member of the Cullman County Cattleman's Association and Alabama Farm Federation.He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Lelton Harris; and two sisters, Dessie Heaton and Mary Shaw.Survivors include his wife Charlise Lolarene Harris; a son Douglas (Lynn) Harris; a brother Alvin (Louise) Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
