My mom loved to cook, crafts and watching "Sabado Gigante show", she also love spending time with her family. She moved from Puerto Rico in 1940s. Since then she lived in New York City until October 2001. I moved her to Syracuse, N.Y. after the 911 tragedy. I wanted to take care of her and make sure she was happly with me in Syracuse. She was happy and until her death this year. Since then I made sure that I did everything she would have wanted me to do for her if she were to have died under my care. She died of Cardiac Arrest alone in her home. It was Dec 1st 2008. The last time I spoke to her was that same day in the morning. I was going shopping for her groceries and picking up her medicine. Unfortunately I missed her by and hour. I found her peacefuly lying on the floor next to her bed on top of a fluffy rug she loved. Ironically she looked like she was sleeping but I knew better. My life changed that day...she took a big part of my heart with her. I'll miss her greatly. Thinking back a few months ago she would say things like, if I die do this for me or I had this dream of an angel who came to me and I didn't want to go yet. There were other things but all in all she knew. She was tired of being sick and wanted to go with God. I know she didn't want to see me cry and I did not want to imagine her leaving me. My mamasita was my best friend and my life saver and the Greatest Grandmother in the world. Mom is now with Jesus until we see each other again in heaven.
