Mrs. Ida Catherine Blansett Clemons, age86, died Monday, August 1, 1988 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 3 at First United Pentecostal Church. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Smith, the Rev. Charles Flake and the Rev. Grady Williams officiating.

The daughter of the late Harve Blansett and the late Katie Jane Nord, she was born in Webster County. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Buford, Mrs. Inez Dotson and Mrs. Mable Gann, all of Houston; two sons, Rex Brassfield and Claude Brassfield, both of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Loma Walters of Houston; one brother, Aaron Blansett of Pheba; 37 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Max Brassfield, Stevie Brassfield, David Brassfield, Glenn Gann, Sammy Buford and Wayne Bailey.

Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
