Mrs. Anna Bailey Hersey, 76, of 135 Gates St. died at Tri-County Osteopathic Hospital in Kittery, Maine after a long illness
She was the daughter of John & Mary (Bailey) Doyle
A Portsmouth resident for 60 years, she was past president of the Gold Star Mothers and was a member of the auxiliaries of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
She is survived by six sons, John L. of Boston, Mass., Norman of Los Angeles, Calif., and Reginald W., Donald F., Arthur L. and William all of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
