DiAnn McKinney Acuff, 64, of Santo was called home to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2008. She went on peacefully at home, with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lone Camp Community Center. Burial: Santo North Cemetery in Santo.
She was born Aug. 11, 1944, to Ben L. and Evalene Stokes McKinney in Durant, Okla. DiAnn graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth in 1961. She married E.W. "Dub" Acuff Jr. in 1962 in Fort Worth.
DiAnn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She loved the Lord, her family, animals, cheesecake, and the colors lime green and purple. DiAnn loved talking to everyone and she never knew a stranger.
DiAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Ben L. And Evalene McKinney, and a nephew, Jason McBrayer.
Survivors: Her husband, E.W. "Dub" Acuff Jr. of Santo; son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Shanna Acuff of Lone Camp; grandchildren and spouses, Marti and Greg Jones of Palo Pinto, Kody and Jenna Acuff of Mineral Wells, and Klancey Acuff of Lone Camp; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Ransom Jones of Palo Pinto; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Danny McBrayer; niece, Carol DiAnn McBrayer; great-niece, Aubree McBrayer, all of Kennedale; and numerous other family members and friends.
