ALLEN, Betty L. Age 81, of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at Kingston of Miamisburg. Betty was born in Miamisburg December 19, 1926 to the late Roy and Ethel (Joy) Phillabaum. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Samuel C. Allen (June 18, 2000). Betty is survived by sons, Richard L. Allen of SC and David R. Allen of Syracuse, NY; a daughter, Carol A. (David) Coleman of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Sommer (Brian) Mastronardi, Sonyua (Chad) Orth, and Shawn (Michelle) Pyle all of Miamisburg as well as Johnathan and Joshua Allen of Knoxville, TN and Samuel Allen of Syracuse; a great grandson, Cohen Pyle; sister, Joyce (Don) Philhower of Farmersville; sister-in-law, Jane Barlett of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of Miamisburg High School and worked for a short period of time at NCR before starting her family. She later retired as a sales clerk from JC Penney. Betty was a member of the Eastern Star and St. Jacobs Lutheran Church. Friends may call Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 10:00-11:30am at GEBHART- SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Michael Hout. Burial at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg.
