Anna, Texas -- Betty Jo (Brown) Adams, 90, peacefully passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was born January 30, 1930 in Gunter, Texas, daughter of Burl Franklin Brown and Sarah Elizabeth (Miller) Brown who preceded her in death along with her brother Doral Brown.
Betty married CL Adams on June 7, 1947 in Anna, Texas and they were happily married for fifty-nine years until his passing on March 21, 2007. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley Ann (Adams) Vest and husband Delbert, son Jimmy Leroy Adams and wife Brenda, and son Timothy Paul Adams and wife Patty; grandchildren Troy Vest and his wife Amy, Toby Vest and his wife Joy, Jason Adams and his wife Jennifer, Alisha (Adams) Riggs and her husband Mark, Rustin Adams and his wife Annalyn, Brandon Adams and his wife Jennifer, Casey Adams and his wife Mandi, Holly (Adams) Jackson and her husband Jeremy, Kalli (Adams) Alexander and her husband Kyle, Libby (Adams) Stroud and her husband Bobby, and Kirk Bloom and his wife Rachel; great-grandchildren Dodger and Li Li Vest, Beau, Vandi, and Alyvia Vest, Jaden, Jamison, and Jett Adams, Austin Casada and Abby Riggs, Ryder and River Adams, Addison and Paxstyn Adams, Sadie and Ava Jackson, Ellie Jo Alexander, Raelyn Stroud, and Angela Bloom.

She retired from Home Interiors after twenty-seven years and after worked at Anna ISD for six years. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anna where she taught a Sunday school class for many years. She enjoyed sharing the word and love of the Lord, game night with friends, going to watch her grandkid's games and watching her Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys play; she didn't miss a game.

Her visitation will be held at Scoggins Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Anna on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. and burial will be at Coffman Cemetery in Anna, Texas.
