From the Waldo Enterprise [Waldo, Russell County, Kansas], published from 21 Jul 1888 til 21 Aug 1890. From the September 12, 1888 issue:

"Mrs. Stamper who has been sick so long died on the 9th inst and was buried on the farm near her home. She was 46 years old. The deceased was a stranger to us, but she was somebody's mother, and our heart goes out in sympathy to the bereaved ones, for we know so well what it is to weep above a christian mother's grave. She was a christian wife and mother; that is a volume in itself, no other eulogy is needed. She has left a good example, follow it."
