On her maternal side she was a decedent of George Mason of Gunston Hall, and George Wishart, the martyr, Scottish religious reformer. On her paternal side she was the Great-Great niece of Mary Ball and descendent of Bielby Porteus, Lord Bishop of London. She leaves a brother, and several nieces and nephews."
