"Miss Louisa Porteus Bailey died April 10, 1942 at the home of her brother, Robert M. Bailey, aged 86 years, 11 months and 23 days. She was born at "Fairview", the 2nd child of 10 children of Ann Elizabeth Henning Murphy Bailey of Ayrfield and William Ball Bailey of Great House. On her maternal side she was a decedent of George Mason of Gunston Hall, and George Wishart, the martyr, Scottish religious reformer. On her paternal side she was the Great-Great niece of Mary Ball and descendent of Bielby Porteus, Lord Bishop of London. She leaves a brother, and several nieces and nephews."
