Virginia O. Shroder was born September 13, 1918, in Henry County, the daughter of David R. and Clara Edith (Allen) Shroder. She died Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at the Westwood Nursing Center in Clinton at the age of 76.
She lived in Urich and in California and Wyoming before she returned to Urich six years ago. She formerly was a sewing machine operator in California for 30 years. She was a member of the Urich Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Stewart, Casper, Wyoming; one son, David Akers, Ontario, California; two brothers, Donald Shroder and Cletes Shroder, both of Urich, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Akers.
Funeral services were Friday, December 30, at the Consalus Chapel, Urich. Burial was in the Urich Cemetery.
