WILLIAM E., 77 years, of Marshall St., after a long and courageous battle and in the presence of his loving family on December 27, 2008, peacefully left this world. Bill was the only child of Michael and Divina Filippo. Bill is predeceased by his former wife Kathryn Iehle and Wanda Smith. Bill is sadly missed by his devoted wife Betsy (nee Erwin) and his loving children, Marie (Paul Cimino), William (Peggy), Richard (Theresa Gallagher), Kathleen and the late Mickey Filippo. Loving grandfather of 9 and the late Christine Filippo; great grandfather of 3. Bill will be sadly missed by his dear friends Gloria "Babe" Jennings and Jerry Coia. Bill will also be missed by all the great friends that he developed on Marshall St. through North Penn Garage as well as his network of friends in Cape May, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday 7 to 9 P.M. and Sat. 9 A.M. at St. Veronica RC Church, corner of 6th and Tioga Sts., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Int. Holy Sepulchre Cemeterty. In lieu of flowers contributions to American Cancer Society and/or St. Veronica RC Church in Bill's name would be appreciated."
