Glen W. Seal

Glen W. Seal, 67, of Ferry Farms subdivision, died this morning at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mr. Seal was a native of Madison County. He served in the South Pacific with the Navy during World War II. He worked at the FMC plant in Spotsylvania and later for the Naval Surface Weapons Center in Dahlgren for eight years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Fredericksburg.

Among his survivors is his wife, Mrs. Iva Seal.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wilson Smith Funeral Home and were incomplete this morning.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held for Glen W. Seal, 67, of Ferry Farms, on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Quantico Marine base chapel, with the Rev. E. Elwood Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery.

Mr. Seal, a native of Madison County, served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in the South Pacific during World War II. A former FMC plant employee, he retired after working at the U.S. Naval Weapons Center at Dahlgren for eight years. He was a member of the First Christian Church and of the Orange Masonic Lodge #138, AF&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iva Seal; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Cameron of Seaford, Del.; a brother, Alfred L. Seal of LaPlata, Md.; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Wilson Smith Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at ? p.m. Masonic members are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad or to the Mary Washington Hospital Cancer Treatment Center, 2301 Fall Hill Ave., Fredericksburg, 22401.
