Marvin served in the Army during World War II. He was a tank commander during the German campaign against Hitler and was wounded, earning him a Purple Heart. His unit was one of many who liberated some of the concentration camps. He left the service as a 2nd Lieutenant. Post World War II, Marvin was a businessman in a number of fields and owned an Econo-Car rental franchise in Clayton, MO. He was a Mason. Before his passing, Marvin was on dialisis for over 6 years.
Marvin never said an unkind word about anyone. He was a perfect gentleman.
