Abilene - Donald Eugene Beeman, 75, died Monday, October 15, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Flat Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Beeman was born March 18, 1932, in California, the son of the late Samuel and Mabel (Davis) Beeman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a fireman for the Abilene Fire Department, retiring after 27 years. He was also a home builder and his hobbies were hunting and fishing. He will be missed!
Besides his parents, Mr. Beeman was predeceased by his wife, Inez, on August 17, 1992; and two brothers. Survivors include two sons, Jeff Beeman of Hurst, Texas, and Sam Beeman of Abilene; a daughter, Lori Vann of Abilene; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
