TULSA, OK - Kurt J. Ackermann, 57, passed away Dec. 21, 2008, in Wichita, Kansas.

Ackermann was born Sept. 11, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, to Gene and Florence Shirley Underwood Ackermann. He moved to Tulsa in 1990 from Stephenville, TX, and was an assistant city attorney for the city of Tulsa.

He graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, Tarleton State University, and Law School at Tulsa University. He and his wife, Vickie, married in Hawaii on Sept. 3, 1994.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
He is survived by son, Kurt E. Ackermann, and wife, Michelle of De Leon, TX; daughter, Kandice Ackermann Pack, and husband, Chance, of Stephenville, TX; brother, Kim Eugene Ackermann, of Davenport, IA; niece, Kari Ackermann-Doak, of Davenport, IA; and grandchildren, Kassidy Pack, Brodee Pack, Kameron Ackermann, Kira Ackermann, and Kamille Ackermann.

Services at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 29, 2008, at United Methodist Church in Lyons, Kansas. Dr. Quentin Bennett and Pastor Ted Weis will officiate. Burial at Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
