Mrs. Henderson of Hampstead was known to all as "Grandma." She was the daughter of the late Bartholomew E. and Ada Batson Blake and was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Jerry V. Henderson, sisters, Bertelle Shepard, Agnes Caison, Lucille Hardison, and brother Bruce Blake. Mrs. Henderson was a long time member of Blake's Chapel Advent Christian Church and lived for many years in Sneads Ferry and had been residing at Woodbury Wellness Center in Hampstead for the passed 5 years. Pallbearers were her grandsons Michael Henderson, Dean Henderson, Wayne Jordan, David Moore, Howard Simmons and Andy Howard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Earl Lee, John Gales, and Larry Henderson. Mrs. Henderson died peacefully at age 91.
