Addie Hilley, 78, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 8, 2007, at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Elberton, Georgia, she lived most of her life in Greenwood, South Carolina, where she attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 30 years. She was very active in the church, taught several classes, and was a speaker on occasion. Addie was a very dedicated member. She moved to Kingsport, Tennessee, in 2002 and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints here in Kingsport. Her family and her church were the most important things in her life.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Luther Allen Hilley; one daughter, Debra Hilley; her father and mother, Leland and Mozell Madden; and two brothers, Dillard and Bobby Madden.

Surviving are one son, Deril Allen Hilley, Gilbert, South Carolina; one daughter, Brenda Vaughn and husband, Larry, Fall Branch; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Howard, Greenville, SC, JoAnn Ellis, Abbeville, SC; Mozellee Siglar, McCormick, SC; one brother, Charles Madden and wife, Louise, McCormick, SC; and special caregiver, Josie.

The family will receive friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the church with President Duane Gold and Bishop David DeBry officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Abbeville Memorial Gardens in Abbeville, South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Grant G'Fellers, James Cobb, Allen Lane, Eddie Hilley, Steve Griggs, and Mike.
