BLOMMINGTON,MARYLAND -- Edward L. "Fast Eddie" Bever, 44, formerly of Bloomington, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at 109 East First St., Cumberland, where he was residing.

Born on Oct. 3, 1955, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Edward L. and Mary G. (Moran) Bever. Eddie was a former welder, having worked in Virginia, he was a former member of the Bloomington Fire Company, a former Tri-Towns Pee Wee baseball coach, and he was an advocate for the Independent Living Center, Cumberland. Mr. Bever was catholic by faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Morgan Bever, of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Mary Ann McGoye, of Killdevil Hills, N.C., Suzanne Donnelly, of Westernport; three nieces, Angela, Andrea, and Bonnie Bever; two nephews, Justin and Jodie Donnelly.

Mr. Bever was cremated. Graveside memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, March 26, 2000, at the Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington, at 1:30 p.m. with the Father James Hannon officiating. The Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of arrangements.
