Virgie Carol Twombly Watson, 66, of Liberty, Missouri died, Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Manor Care in Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born October 26, 1942, in Doniphan County, Kansas, the daughter of Samuel Edward and Virginia Lorene Marsh Twombly. A 1960 graduate of Highland High School in Highland, Kansas, Carol received a BS in Education from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri in 1964. She married Harold Eugene Watson, August 21, 1966 in Fanning, Kansas.
Mrs. Watson was a member of the Church of God in Christ, Humphrey Temple, Liberty. She was a homemaker and had taught two years in the St. Joseph, Missouri, School System.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Samuel Twombly.
Survivors include her husband; Harold Watson, of their home in Liberty; daughter; Anna Watson, Roeland Park, Kansas; two sons; William Howard "Bill" Watson, Friendswood, Texas; Ed Watson, Liberty; two grandsons; Samuel and Luke Watson; a brother; Fred Twombly, Troy, Kansas, and a sister; Linda Fagan, Stewartsville, Missouri.
Burial is in Miriam Cemetery, Maryville.
