Obituary from "Terre Haute Tribute," page 7, Tuesday, April 11, 1950; Silas Franklin Walls, Marshall, Illinois, 77 years old, died at his residence, 912 Spruce Street, at 6 o'clock Monday evening. Surviving are the wife, Rettie; three daughters, Mrs. Faye Vanaradalen, Marshall; Mrs. Pearl Starkey, Marshall; and Mrs. Ruth Cannady, Terre Haute; two brothers, Bert and Roe Walls, both of Marshall. The body was taken to the Marrs Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery.
