The community as a whole was grieved Wednesday morning when the sad news was announced that Henry Joseph Quilter, a highly esteemed young man of this city, had died shortly before ten o'clock at the family home, East Main St.

Mr. Quilter, was one of the best known young men of this place, being born and raised here, and it is with deep regret that his untimely death is recorded.

His illness was brief, being first taken to his bed last Thursday. Pneumonia developed at the early stage of his sickness, and his condition gradually grew worse until the end came Wednesday morning.

Henry Joseph Quilter, son of Mathias and Mary Quilter was born in East Palestine January 4, 1881. He would have reached his 38th year had his life been spared until the coming January. He grew up to young manhood in this city and when about 18 years of age began work at the Harry Lawrence grocery store where he had been employed. He was in charge of the delivery service and his kind and obliging manner won for him a host of friends.

Mr. Quilter was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, and was a young man of sterling qualities and one worthy of the respect in which he was held throughout the city.

With the mother, Mrs. Mary Quilter, he leaves the following brothers and sisters; Frank, Thomas, Matthew of East Palestine; William Quilter in training at Fort Niagara, NY, Mrs. I.M.Reed of Midland; Mrs. Julia Haley and Miss Margaret of this city.

Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery and funeral arrangements are pending word from the brother who is in service.
