He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, E.C. Sanders.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two (42) years, Louise C. (nee Kelso) Sanders of Fenton, Missouri (Married December 19, 1964 in Fairview Heights, Illinois), three (3) children, Tammara L. Sanders of Sunset Hills, Missouri, William E. Elliott of Richmond Heights, Missouri and Linda K. Epstein of Plano, Texas, seven (7) grandchildren, Lysandra Robnett, Scott Robnett, Jr., Samantha Hall, Brody Epstein, Christopher Elliott, Michael Elliott and Amanda Elliott, two (2) great-grandchildren, John T. and Damien Cole and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Sanders was a devoted husband and father, and particularly proud of his grandchildren. A "wonderful, hard-working man", in 1981 he retired from a thirty-five (35) career as an Assembler with Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, Missouri through U.A.W. Local #136 to enjoy travel, camping, family barbeques and his St. Louis Cardinals. He was among the "Greatest Generation", faithfully serving his country in the U.S. Army during World War II throughout a variety of campaigns in the South Pacific. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
