Russian Princess, nee Countess Carlow. Born in Oranienbaum (now Lomonosov), near St Petersburg, Russia. She was the daughter of Duke George of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Countess Natalia Carlow. She was killed on duty.

"GALITZINE. On Oct. 8, 1940, accidentally, Princess Catherine Galitzine, beloved wife of Prince Vladimir. Funeral tomorrow (Thursday) 11.30 a.m. at the Russian Church, 188, Buckingham Palace Road.
