Walter Haring received a message early Wednesday afternoon stating that his mother had passed away in Webb City, MO. She had suffered a second stroke of paralysis last week. At the time of our going to press today the date of the funeral has not been arranged but it is thought the funeral will be held at the Brownlow Church Saturday or Sunday.

Nancy F. Wright was born at Tonganoxie, Leavenworth County, Kansas on January 15, 1864. She passed away July 17, 1940 at 3 am at her home in Webb City, MO. at the age of 76 years, 6 months, 2 days.

She was one of a family of 11 children.

On March 14, 1885, she was converted at a revival being held by Rev. Carroll of Wichita at the Lost School House Northeast of Latham; and joined the Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Clement V. Haring of Latham, Kansas, on March 15, 1885. They resided near Latham until 1913 when they moved to Cabool, MO. In 1938 they removed to the present home in Webb City, MO.

Four children were born to them, two sons, Walter C. Haring, of Latham, Kansas; Sam F. Haring of Atlanta, Kansas; Two daughters; Mrs. L.E. Akins of Hallowell, Kansas, and Mrs. S.C. Rollings, who preceded her in death.

Besides the two sons and one daughter and her husband Mrs. Haring is also survived by one sister, Mrs. W.H. Brenton, living Northeast of Latham, one brother F.M. Wright of Eldorado, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held at the Latham Federated Church on Saturday afternoon, July 20 at 2 o’clock conducted by the pastor Rev. Kenagy.

The choir composed of Mrs. B.C. Breeden, R.C. Masters, Mrs. Will Barnhill and Homer Hicks with Mrs. Erma Ellis at the piano, sang “Under his Wing” and “Does Jesus Care” Mrs. Barnhill also sang a solo “The Old Rugged Cross”.

The pallbearers were; Lee, Earl, Lloyd, Harold and Stanley Haring, grandsons of Mrs. Haring and Paul Stuver son of Sam Haring.

Internment was made in the Brownlow Cemetery northwest of Latham. A funeral home of Webb City, MO. was in charge.
