Hannah Kralman, 83, of Milton-Freewater, died January 18, 1996 in her home. Funeral services were held Monday at the Central Christian Church in Walla Walla.
Mrs. Kralman was born Feb. 7, 1912 in Hurdsfield, North Dakota to Fred and Martha Buchmiller Aichele. She moved with her family to Milton-Freewater and settled in the Fruitvale District. She attended Fruitvale School. After her schooling was completed, she began working to help her family. She worked as a housekeeper for the Kennedy family in Walla Walla and also worked in the fields picking strawberries, apples, etc. On Sept. 10, 1932 she married Gilbert Kralman in Walla Walla at the Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Kralman worked in the orchards and fields in Washington before settling in the Fruitvale area farming. They owned and operated Kralman's Triangle Service Station and Store for several years. Mrs. Kralman also worked in the local canneries and packing houses. The Kralman's began taking care of developmentally disabled adults in 1956 and continued this until 1993. She was a member of the Central Christian Church Fruitvale Home Extension Club since 1935 and Germans from Russia Club in Walla Walla.
