Born Spet. 26 1898 in Opelika, Ala., she grew up in Eastland County. She married U.C. Hamilton May 13, 1923 in Scranton. They moved to Abilene from Baird in 1946.
She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked at Hendrick Medical Center from 1947 until 1970 in Central Supply. After her retirement in 1970, she worked with the Abilene State School in the Foster Grandparents program. She continued to work until ill health forced her retirement in February 1977. Mrs Hamilton was a member of the Highland Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs J.J. (Betty) Farmer of Eula and Mrs Bill (Ann) Mitchell of Midland; two sisters Mrs Guy Krof of Hanston, Kan., and Mrs. Carl Baird of Amarillo; a brother Roy Allen of Andrews; and five grandchildren.
