PORTAGE – Agnes C. Konicke, 80, of Portage, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1992.
She was born April 2, 1912, in Kalkaska County, Mich., a daughter of Arthur and Mary (Schieber) Scantlen.
A Portage resident since 1985, she was formerly of Glen Park. She was a retired school bus attendant and a member of AARP.
Surviving are six sons, James of Hobart; Timothy and Thomas, both of Arizona; Daniel of Texas; Michael of Crown Point; and Robert of Merrillville; a daughter, Sylvia Cates of Valparaiso; 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred, Esther, Laurice, and Lilis; and three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Ronald.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Konicke, in 1967.
Services 11 a.m. Monday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart; the Rev. John J. Siekierski officiating; burial in Calvary Cemetery; visitation 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
