Michael J. Hornaday, 58, of Rushville, died Jan. 4, 2009.

Born Sept. 11, 1950 in Rushville, he was the son of Vernon and Patricia (Leach) Hornaday; his father, a Rushville resident, survives.

Mr. Hornaday worked for Schnadig Corporation for 20 years and also for Randall Textron for approximately 15 years.

Rushville High School Class of 1968.

Survivors in addition to his father include son, PV2 US Army Clint M. (Jill Ann) Hornaday of Fort Hood, Texas; sisters, Verna Hornaday and Norma Jean Hornaday, both of Rushville, and Cheryl (Kenneth) Evans of Connersville; grandsons, Xander Michael and Patrick Albert; nieces, Michelle Hornaday and Jada Evans; and nephew, Blake Evans.

Services will beat 10 a.m. Thursday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with George Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
