Mary Elizabeth (Toms) Byrum, daughter of, Samuel and Florence (Clem) Toms. She died at the age of 41 years and cause of death was Hodgekins Disease.

MRS. MARY E. BYRUM

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Byrum, 41, wife of Leslie Byrum, died at her home, 217 North Ward Street, at 12:30 p.m. today. Death followed a lingering illness.

She was the daughter of Samuel and Florence Toms and was born at Carrollton, Mo., July 25, 1895. For the last twelve years she had lived in Ottumwa.

Surviving besides her husband, Leslie, are two brothers, Clem and Barney Toms, both of Ottumwa and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Beatty of Ottumwa and Mrs. J. L. Gibson of Denver, Colorado.

The body was removed to the Johnson Funeral Chapel pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
