AGED LADY DIES

Mrs. C. H. Shirley died at the home of her son, near Walnut Hill, last Friday, at the age of 81 years, after a long and lingering illness. She had been a widow for 36 years, and had fought a hard battle rearing her children. Before her marriage, she was Miss Harriett Pittman. She is survived by six children: Messrs. B. N. Shirley, with who she lived, A. P. and Jesse Shirley, all of this county, G. C. Shirley of Canada, Ottro Shirley and Mrs. Henry Greer of Louisville. Mrs. Shirley was born Oct. 30 1844 and died Oct. 30, 1925. She had been a faithful member of the Baptist Church for 63 years. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Gass, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Walnut Hill. Truly a good woman has good to her reward.
