On March 4, 2005, William C., age 79, passed away.
Mr. O'Connell was a WWII Navy Veteran and he worked as an architect at the US Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia. As a lifetime resident of Audubon Park, William served there as a councilman, the Director of the Board of Health and the Director of Civil Defense. He was also a parishoner at Holy Maternity Church where he volunteered as an usher.
William is the beloved husband of Doris L. (nee Baldwin). He is the devoted father of William C. O'Connell, Jr. of Audubon Park, the late Patricia L. O'Connell, Therese M. (Joseph) O'Connell-Curatolo of Audubon Park and Gregory C. (Colleen) O'Connell of Sewell; he is the loving grandfather of Michelle (David) Lubonski, Kimberly Korejko (Anthony Fassano), Therese Korejko, Kevin Korejko, Gregory O'Connell, George O'Connell, Caitlin O'Connell and Sean Curatolo. He is the loving great grandfather of Juliet Fassano and the devoted brother of Helen Blatz of Warminster, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday after 9:30 AM at Holy Maternity Church, 344 W. Nicholson Road, Audubon where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Int. New St. Mary's Cem., Bellmawr, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, 1 E. Wacker Dr., Suite 2430, Chicago, IL 60601-1905.
