He was born Oct. 5, 1922, in Canton, Ill., to Ray and Marie Perrine Bonner. He married Mary E. Jackse on June 18, 1945, in El Centro, Calif. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Robert C. Bonner of Lenexa, Kan.; one grandson, Tyson R.; and one sister, Barbara Hagan of Peoria.
He graduated from Peoria Central High School.
He was a World War II and Korean War Marine veteran.
He worked as a telephone repairman and installer for 40 years, until his retirement.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Private graveside services will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.
