Erwin- Ivan Lewis, 37, Limestone Cove, was killed Sunday afternoon at his home.

A native of Michell County, North Carolina, Mr. Lewis had lived in the Limestone Cove community for the past 15 years. He was employed by Dealers Supply Co. of Johnson City as a cabinet maker.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Argie Yelton Lewis; one son, Edmond of Relief, NC; two daughters, Mrs. Janice Dayton of Unicoi and Linda of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lewis of Relief and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Phillips of Burnsville, North Carolina. *Source- Johnson City Press, 14 Mar 1967, Tue ·Page 2

Shot by Eddie Kenneth Dayton, his 17 year old son-in-law. Eddie was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and given 1 to 5 years.
