Roscoe Nolan Denison, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in Denton.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville. Interment: 3 p.m. Friday in Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
He was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Bolivar to Asa Denison and Orless Vandeventer Denison.
Roscoe married Jean Watson on Dec. 1, 1940, in Lewisville. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 2006. Nolan served in the United States Navy and the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a member of Lake Country Bible Church in Mineola and worked for Southwestern Bell for 35 years.
Survivors: His loving family, daughters, Linda Pampolina, Sue Reeves, Ruthie Stivers and Janene Becker; son, Paul Denison; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty McDonald; and brother, Everett Denison.
