Our Beloved Della M. Frobish, age 95, died Tues. Jan 6, 2009 at Quaker Hill Manor, Lowell, KS following an illness.
Della was born Feb 4, 1913 in Ava, MO. to Fred and Julia Ann Haynes Harvey.
Herman Clifford Channel (1911 - 1961) became her step-father Oct. 8, 1940 in Galena, Ks.
She lived in Riverton most of her life where she and her husband operated a dairy farm.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Crestline, KS. for over 50 years. She was an exceptional cook.
Della married Carl Harvey. He passed away in 1975. She then married Russell Frobish in July, 1978. He passed away March 3, 1999.
Surviving is one daughter, Joyce Deaver, and husband, Fred, of Riverton, KS; four step-children, Gilbert Frobish and wife, Carole of Columbus, KS, Linda Crowder, Columbus, KS, Betty Frobish, Joplin, MO, and Alice Holland, Kansas City, MO; 3 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-step-grandchildren. She also had a sister Mary M. Harvey.
In addition to her husbands, one son, John Arthur Johnson passed away in 1931.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, Jan 9, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Crestline, KS. Pastor Paul Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Quaker Valley Cemetery, Riverton, KS.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 -8:00 pm, Thursday, Jan 8, 2009 at Derfelt Funeal Home, Galena, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Crestline, KS.
Della was our Young Adult Sunday School Teacher when my daughter was just a baby. She's now 35.
