Lance Corporal Linwood Earl Ebron was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, LCPL Ebron served our country until May 10th, 1967 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 23 years old and was not married. It was reported that Linwood died from an undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. Linwood was born on March 28th, 1944 in Greenville, North Carolina. LCPL Ebron is on panel 19E, line 078 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
He is the Son of Mr Wiley G. Ebron and Mrs Annie Ebron of Raleigh, NC.
He served with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, 3rd MAF.
He was awarded The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
