SIKESTON -- Margaret Maxine McGee, 79, died at 10:03 p.m. Jan. 4, 2009, at her home.
Born May 3, 1929, in Sikeston, to the late Rupert and Gertrude Casteel Lane, she was a legal secretary and a homemaker. A member of Concordia Luther Church, she also belonged to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod since Jan. 29, 1956.
On May 4, 1946, in Sikeston, she married Johnny McGee, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby J. and Myrtle McGee of Bloomsdale and Michael S. and Linda McGee of South St. Louis County; one daughter and son-in-law, Darla R. and Joe Tinker of DeSoto; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary L. and Bill Hailey and Barbara A. and Mike Bartlett of Sikeston; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Brenda D. McGee, and one brother,Ralph Edward Lane preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Church with the Rev. A.J. Wollenburg, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
