Mrs. Emma Simpson Baugh, 86, widow of the late Arthur H. Baugh of Hustonville, died at the Ephraim MCDowell Hospital in Danville Sunday morning at 200 o'clock, following a short illness.
Mrs. Baugh was born in Monticello, October 29, 1871, a daughter of Moses and Anna McGee Simpson. She married Mr. Baugh, a minister of the Christian Church in 1912. Mr. Baugh died in 1951. She is survived by one son, Arthur Herbert, and one brother, J.W. Simpson.
Funeral services were held at the local Christian Church Monday afternoon by J.C. Correll, minister of the Hustonville Christian Church, assisted by the minister, Charles Secrest. Music by Mrs. Mark Matthews.
The casket bearers were O.G. Wilhite, Howard Hedrick, R.A. Parrigan, Carl Rankin, D.H. Bassett and Dr. Joe Back. Interment in the Elk Spring Cemetery with Richard Lee Funeral Home in charge.
