Activities Stricken By Pneumonia
Henry N. Firestone, 67, a prominent Stark county farmer and a life resident of this vicinity, died Monday at 2:45 p.m. at his home at Middlebranch. His death resulted from pneumonia after an illness of but one week.
Mr. Firestone was one of the best known farmers in this part of the state. In conjunction with raising cattle and produce he operated a modern dairy.
Mr. Firestone was a member of Canton lodge, F. & A. M., Al Koran Shrine, Canton Commandery Knights Templar, Nazir Grotto, a charter member of the Junior O. U. A. M. 262, Rotary club, Stark County Farm bureau, Knights of Pythias of North Canton and Plain grange. He had served as treasurer of the Stark County Patrons Mutual Insurance Co., for the last 20 years.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Cora A. Firestone; three sons, Hiram H. N. Firestone of Alliance, Walter J. Firestone and Calvin D. Firestone, both of Middlebranch, and two daughters, Mrs. George L. Wade of Canton and Mrs. James C. Francis of Ashtabula. There are seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the home, after which the body will be taken to the Masonic temple here. Rev C. L. Warstler and Rev. E. C. Herman will conduct a religous service at 2:30 p.m. at the temple to be followed by the Masonic service. Burial will be in Westlawn cemetery.
The body is at the J. L. Arnold & Sons parlors and will be taken to the home tonight at 5.
