OBITUARIES

HENRY ARMITAGE

Henry Armitage, employed by the Sigwart Electric company for the past 19 years, died Wednesday at his home at 338 West Eleventh avenue at the age of 47.

Born August 20, 1889, near Springfield, he lived in Idaho, Washington and California before coming to Eugene, were he had resided for the last 19 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Armitage, a son, George Henry Armitage, and a daughter, Betty Jean Armitage. Also surviving are three brothers, Guy Armitage of Portland, Alva Armitage of Springfield, and Lester Armitage of Detroit, Michigan; and two sisters, Miss Estelle Armitage of Portland, and Mrs. Edith Dart of Bend.

Funeral services will be held in the Veatch chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. A.J. Harris will officiate and internment will be in Rest Haven cemetery. ~~~

NOTE:

George "Henry" Armitage was married to Helen Kay Richardson in 1914 in Lane County. They had two children: George Henry Armitage and Betty Jean Armitage.
