She was born Nov. 26, 1919, at home in Buffalo Prairie Township, the daughter of Maynard and Myrtle Rachel Andrews McDonald. She married Frank E. Thor on May 7, 1939, in Edgington Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1993.
She is survived by a son, Roger L. (and Karen) Thor of Oneida; a daughter, Donna (and Jim) Musser of Oregon, Ill.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.�She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen; and four sisters, Gladys, Dorothy, Alice and Mary.
Hazel was a homemaker and worked in the dietary department at Carl Sandburg College, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Galesburg and Order of the Eastern Star.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.�The Rev. David Parker will officiate.�Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel.�Burial will be in Sherrard Cemetery, Sherrard, Ill.�
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Illinois or a charity of the donor's choice.
