DEATH NOTICE: The Manti Messenger Friday 23 March 1894:
Charles Tennant passed away from this life on Wednesday evening. His last illness was of short duration. Every medical assistance possible was summoned when he left his place as as assistant postmaster, but physicians were of no avail. He was a native of Manti, well known and universally respected. A wife and three children, with a host of relatives and friends, mourn his death. The funeral services were held in the Tabernacle at one o'clock to-day, under the auspices of the A. O. U. W., of which order he was a respected member.
