FOR MANY YEARS MONON ROAD MASTER, AGED 70
For many years Monon road master, after an illness of almost three years,
Charles Cornwell, age 71, died early this morning at the home on North
College Avenue. Death resulted from old age and a complication of
diseases. He was a lifelong resident of this city and as road master on
the Monon retired only a few years ago on account of advanced age. He was
a member of the Odd Fellows and Masons and respected by all who knew him
for his strong character, of squareness toward his fellow men.
He leaves a wife and niece Miss Lulu Potts of New York to mourn.
Funeral held from the residence on Thursday at 2:30 and interment at Rose Hill.
