Ms. Katie L. Keating of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Friday, January 9, 2009, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ms. Keating was 82 years, 5 months, and 17 days old. She was a graduate of Amon Carter-Riverside High School and Saint Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Worth, Texas. Ms. Keatine was the past president of the Fianna Hills Women's Gold Association. She loved play golf, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and her precious grandchildren.
Ms. Keating is survived by her husband of 62 years: H.E. "Gene" Keating; a daughter: Kay Flickinger, and her husband: Jim, of Monroe, Louisians; two precious grandchildren: Denise McGaha and David Flickinger and his wife: Jennifer, all of Monore, Louisiana; three great-grandchildren: Chelsea and Kaitlynn McGaha and Krew Flickinger.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at the 1st United Methodist Church-Roebuck Chapel.
Pallbearers were: Rod Naucke, Finley Turner, Mike Cullen, J.C. McChristian, Dr. T. W. Brown, and Bobby Cearley.
Honorary pallbears were: the Gleaners Sunday School Class.
