Dora was the daughter of George W. & Martha Smith Arnold. She married William McKinley Sapp, 5 Jan 1896, Fayette County, Illinois. They had eight children.

Mrs. William (Dora Arnold) Sapp, 98, of Brownstown died 7 p.m. Saturday in Fayette County Nursing Home, Vandalia.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday. Eastern Star ceremony 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo.

Mrs. Sapp was born in St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Brownstown, and a 50-year member of Golden Rule Chapter 278, Eastern Star, St. Elmo.

She married William Sapp Jan. 5, 1896, in Brownstown. He died in 1941.

She leaves daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sisson of Altamont; sons, Claude, Roy and Leland (Lee), all of Brownstown; Paul of Arlington Heights; Harold of Macon; Forrest of Kankakee; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
