Mrs. W. J. Wooten Dies Wednesday
Mrs. W. J. Wooten, 87, died at her home in the Emhouse community Wednesday morning. She is survived by 108 living descendants.
The rites will be held Thursday at 3:30 p. m. from the Emhouse Baptist church. Rev. John Meadows, pastor, will conduct the services.
Burial will be in Pattison cemetery.
A native of Limestone county, Mrs. Wooten had resided in the Emhouse community since 1908.
Surviving are five sons, Abe Wooten, Clute, Texas: Ray and S. L. Wooten, both of Corsicana; Burns Wooten, Ennis, and Noah C. Wooten, Greenville; four daughters, Mrs. John Burke and Mrs. Doug Meadows, both of Corsicana; Mrs. Rex Gordon. Arcata, Calif., and Mrs. W. L. Vansickle, Mansfield; 57 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs., Belle Fenner, Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother. Isom Meek, Mexia, and other relatives.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Corley will direct.
