NEW ALBANY LEDGER TRIBUNE OBITUARY - 09/30/1990 - CLARKSVILLE
John Ragland Sr., 65, of 119 W. Maple Court, died Friday at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Louisville, a retired electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 369 and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, the former Marian Smith; five daughters, Donna Williams of Ekron, Ky., Patricia Carter of New Albany, Deborah Raymond of Louisville and Sharon Bishop and Janice Estep of Clarksville; five sons, John G. Ragland Jr. of Loda, IL., Gary Ragland of Elizabeth, IN., Larry Ragland of Georgetown and Michael and Danny Ragland of Clarksville; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial in New Albany National Cemetery. Visitation at Chapman Funeral Home will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today. Expressions of sympathy may go to Providence High School.
