Excerpt--age 96, of Farimont (Quiet Dell Community), died March 18, 2002 at her home. She was born Feb. 5, 1906, in Fairmont, the d/o the late Martin Luther and Ida Bell Smith Fletcher. She is survivied by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Andrea Keener of Massillion, Oh.; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Mary and Otha McCourt of Morgantown, Nelda and Delbert Rush, Wannalee Vandergrift, Betty Harbert, Myrtle and Charles Sloan, all of Fairmont, and Rosaleen Heil of Wheeling; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie M. Keener on March 8, 1985; one son, Owen E. Keener; three infant children, Kathryn, Clifton and Conley Keener; one sister, Icie Bell Valentine; one brother, Lester C. Fletcher; three sons-in-law, Jack Heil, Denzil "Sonny" Vandergrift, and Steve Harbert; two grandsons, Jerry A. and Keven L. Rush; and one great-grandson, Richard D. Kisner, Jr. Burial was in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
