Samuel (Sam) William Neumann was born March 3, 1893, son of Samuel and Augusta Grabaraschick Neumann.

He married Emily Sophie Lindemann on March 27, 1919 at the Providence Lutheran Church in Floyd County TX.

They lived near Claytonville in Swisher county, where they farmed their entire life. They were faithful members of the Lutheran Church in the Providence Community.

The couple were parents of two children: Robert, who died in 1936 and Helen.

Sam was a veteran of World War I.
